Iriun Webcam microphone audio on Windows — enable & fix guide

Enable phone microphone audio in Iriun Webcam on Windows. Stream to Zoom, Teams, OBS and Discord. Fix initialization failed audio driver error and sync issues.

Iriun Webcam can stream your phone microphone to Windows as a virtual audio device. This is useful when your PC has no microphone or you want better audio quality from your phone.

Enable microphone audio in Iriun

    Open Iriun PC client settings

    In the Iriun PC client on Windows, click the Settings icon (gear icon in the top right).

    Enable audio streaming

    In Settings, find the Audio section and enable Stream audio from phone. Click Save or OK.

    Connect phone and check audio device

    Connect your phone. In Windows sound settings, you should see Iriun Webcam listed as an audio input device.

    Select in your app

    In Zoom, Teams, OBS or Discord — go to microphone/audio input settings and select Iriun Webcam as the microphone source.

Fix Iriun audio problems

Does Iriun Webcam support microphone audio official?
Yes. Iriun officially supports streaming your phone microphone to Windows as a virtual audio input device. Enable it in the PC client Settings → Audio. The feature works on both the free and paid versions.
Iriun webcam microphone audio support official — free or paid only?
The microphone audio streaming feature is available in both the free and paid versions of Iriun. The paid version adds higher video resolution and watermark removal — audio is available to all users.
Iriun audio quality is poor or noisy
Phone microphones are omnidirectional and pick up room noise. For better audio: hold the phone closer to your mouth, use a quiet room, or use a headset plugged into the phone. Some phones have noise cancellation in their camera app that can help.
