Is Iriun Webcam free?
Yes, the basic version is free with a small watermark overlay. The paid version removes the watermark and unlocks higher resolutions. See free vs paid comparison.
Does Iriun work with USB or only Wi-Fi?
Both. USB gives the lowest latency and most stable connection. Wi-Fi is more convenient. See USB vs Wi-Fi guide.
What phones does Iriun support?
Iriun works with iPhone (iOS 12+) and Android phones (Android 5.0+). See the iPhone guide and Android guide.
Does Iriun work on Windows 11?
Yes. Iriun Webcam 2.9.5 is compatible with Windows 11. Some extra steps may be needed for firewall and camera permissions. See Windows 11 guide.

Iriun not connecting — quickest fix?
Start the PC client first, then open the phone app. Both must be on the same Wi-Fi network. If still failing, add Iriun to Windows Firewall or try USB mode. See not connecting guide.
Iriun connects then immediately disconnects
Usually a Wi-Fi instability issue. Switch to USB for a stable connection, or move closer to your router and connect to the 5GHz band.
"Please start Iriun Webcam" error
The PC client is not running. Open Iriun Webcam on your Windows PC first, wait for it to show Waiting for connection, then open the phone app.

Iriun not showing in Zoom / Teams / OBS
The PC client must be running before you open your video app. Close and reopen Zoom or Teams after starting Iriun. Reboot Windows if the virtual camera driver is not registering.
Iriun shows black screen in video apps
Check Windows camera permissions: Settings → Privacy → Camera → allow apps to access camera. Also see black screen fix guide.
Does Iriun support microphone / audio?
Yes, Iriun can stream audio from your phone's microphone to Windows. Enable it in the Iriun PC client settings. See audio setup guide.
Does Iriun work with Discord?
Yes. In Discord: Settings → Voice & Video → Video Settings → select Iriun Webcam. See Discord guide.

What resolution does Iriun support?
Free version: up to 720p. Paid version: up to 1080p (on supported phones). The actual resolution depends on your phone's camera capabilities and connection quality.
Iriun video is laggy or low quality
Use USB for lowest latency. On Wi-Fi: connect to the 5GHz band, reduce distance to router. In the app settings, you can also reduce resolution to improve frame rate on slower connections.
Does Iriun use a lot of battery on the phone?
Yes — streaming video continuously uses significant battery. Keep your phone plugged in during long sessions, especially for USB mode where it charges while connected.
